Project
As part of my Consulting for Wearable Technologies course, led by Dr. John Rogers, I participated in a 10-week long project based on Catapult Sports’ real needs.
My group consisted of myself, an MBA student, and a MS Biotechnology student. Due to a NDA agreement, the critical details of the product and process can not be shared.
We completed various forms of research in order to push a new product to a new target group of consumers.
Process
At the beginning of the course, the professors and Catapult Sports worked together to define our assignments for the quarter. As we reached research and interview goals, we were responsible for specific deliverables. We developed insights based on our research methods to make informed decisions for Catapult’s new product offering. We presented our findings and process at bi-weekly client meetings.
Process
We conducted 39 interviews across three potential target customer groups. We also received nearly 150 responses from applicable users for our survey to help us make informed decisions. Our research helped us prioritize target customer segments and product features.
Conclusions
We presented a final product along with additional recommendations. We also delivered a final report. Lastly, we included opportunity spaces and potential longer-term roadmaps outside of our project scope based on research.
